133d Army Band

We are the 133d Army Band based out of Camp Murray in Tacoma, WA.  The 133d Army Band performs for both military and public events, and as the only band for the Washington Army National Guard, we stay in high demand.  Recently we've performed at the opening ceremony for the 2004 Washington State Legislative Session, the Adjutant General's Militia Ball, Seahawk Stadium, Seattle Mariners, Seattle Sounders, and the Western Washington State Fair in Puyallup.  Annually, the 133d does a concert tour in community parks across Washington.  We have also traveled overseas to perform for foreign dignitaries.  As you can see, our band members travel and play for a variety of audiences each year.

Our soldiers come from many walks of life: music performance and education, the professions, and the trades.  Their ages range from late teens to late fifties.  Typically, we gather one weekend a month, and two weeks each summer.  The one thing we share in common is that we are all soldier-musicians: special people possessing a rare mix of both military and artistic abilities.  This mix is best expressed in the acronym “BAND LDRSHIP”, which represents both Band Values and the Army Values.

Feel free to look around and become acquainted with who we are. On the left are the different places you can go.
